Shadowing is a fundamental part of the preparation and research towards a medical career. While these are challenging times, I felt like I was still able to learn a wide variety of information on medical procedures and the focuses of the variety of medical fields that were presented. These included topics like neurosurgery, general surgery, epidemiology, transitional chinese medicine among others! It is amazing how much one can learn over zoom when there is as much dedication from the doctors and team involved as there was from the students. I can only imagine how much more incredible it will be to do it in person soon!!
